Right back where we belong
It all started in 1996 with a simple website for a local musician.
Word spread quickly and we were up and running, building sites for other musicians, artists, and small local businesses.
Next came a more demanding schedule building sites for some companies in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Ciba Geigy and Vantico.
Then we were thrown into the big leagues building sites for various divisions of Pepsi Cola.
But the biggest shift was working for Philips Electronics. Philips had about 7 divisions at the time, and we were building websites for all of them.
One Philips project was the biggest of them all, which was called We Are Philips. This was a national employee recognition program which also included Canada locations.
This was a massive ongoing project that occupied most of our work hours for about 7 years. This was also around the time that people started viewing websites on mobile phones.
Suddenly every website we were building, also had to be mobile friendly. Designers were ripping our hair out, writing complex code to ensure our sites looked good on all these different phones. Companies eventually created software that simplified this process, which continues today.
When the We Are Philips project came to a close, we decided to once again put our focus back on small local businesses, going back to where it all began.
The corporate work was great, but we really love the creative freedom and variety that comes from working with small businesses and helping them achieve their goals.
